ESSECO has been a SIOR customer for more than 20 years. Until 1993, the information system was managed on the SIEMENS 7500 series platform. Sior carried out the rehosting project on the IBM AS/400 system.

With the modernization project, the applications running on the AS/400 were equipped with the ability to display data and information in Windows mode and on the Web, without changing the platform and without modifying the source code. The project was implemented using Webgate400 and in particular the module that manages the Cobol Programs; this resulted in a complete modernization, for the interactive part, of a complex multi-company information system.

The go-live procedure took less than a week of work, and the project achieved its objectives, to the full satisfaction of all operators.
